We find you a match at your test centre (or other centres you choose to accept — it is your responsibility to accept only centres DVSA allows for your booking: the same centre, one of your three nearest, or the centre you first booked at) and connect you. The swap is then completed by the learners themselves: one of you calls DVSA on 0300 200 1122 with both booking references, and DVSA confirms with the other learner directly — neither the instructor nor DriveCraft Swap can make the change. We never store your raw driving licence number — only a salted hash. Booking references are exchanged only after both sides confirm, either directly between you or via the optional secure exchange (held encrypted, visible only to your match, deleted when the swap completes or after 72 hours). After the call, both learners may optionally enter their new booking details for a cross-check confirmation; we hash these values (SHA-256, salted with the match id) and only store the hashes — never the originals.
