1. About us

DriveCraft Driving School Ltd ("DriveCraft") is a DVSA-registered driving school, company number TBC, registered at 39 Gold Street, Northampton, NN1 1RS. By booking a lesson or using our website you agree to these terms.

2. Booking & payment

  • Lessons are confirmed only once payment is received (or a reservation is accepted by the instructor).
  • Block bookings are non-refundable once used. Unused hours may be transferred between students with prior agreement.
  • Prices are stated in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe. DriveCraft does not store card details.

3. Cancellation policy

  • 48+ hours notice: Full refund or lesson credit
  • 24–48 hours notice: 50% lesson credit
  • Less than 24 hours / no-show: Full lesson charge — no credit
  • DriveCraft reserves the right to cancel lessons due to illness, vehicle issues or adverse weather. A full credit or reschedule will be offered.

4. Eligibility

  • Pupils must hold a valid provisional driving licence for the category being taught.
  • Pupils must be at least 17 years of age (16 for automatic mopeds — not offered).
  • Pupils must inform the instructor of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to drive, and must meet DVLA eyesight standards.

5. Test booking

Pupils are responsible for booking their own practical driving test directly through the DVSA website (gov.uk/book-driving-test). DriveCraft instructors are no longer able to book tests on pupils' behalf. Instructors will advise when they consider a pupil ready for their test.

6. Conduct

DriveCraft operates a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour toward instructors or staff. Lessons may be terminated immediately and no refund will be given in such circumstances.

7. Liability

All DriveCraft vehicles are fully insured for tuition purposes. DriveCraft's liability is limited to the cost of lessons paid. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including test fees, time off work, or travel costs arising from cancelled or failed tests.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these terms

DriveCraft may update these terms at any time. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
